Working in conjunction with the Clerk, Mrs Rosemarie Nelson has held the part-time position of Responsible Financial Officer (formerly known as Council Treasurer) since 2006. Separation of the two roles is accepted as best practice and it is Rosemarie who prepares the Parish accounts and presents them at monthly meetings of the full council. The Parish budgets and accounts must be submitted for annual inspection and approval by two external independent auditors. All financial accounts and proofs of audit are published and available to members of the public as part of the Council’s commitment to transparency. In addition, Rosemarie is a Trustee of and prepares the monthly and annual accounts for Tipps Cross Remembrance Hall. An active member of the Blackmore Players, Rosemarie has lived in the Blackmore Parish with her husband Peter for over 30 years
