Your Parish Council has succeeded in being awarded ‘Community Hub‘ status from the area’s new provider of fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) broadband. In recognition of the essential community services on offer at Tipps Cross Remembrance Hall and the Blackmore Village Hall complex, Gigaclear will be installing networks at both locations and making unlimited access to the internet free for all users. Tipps Cross will be first to benefit with Gigaclear engineers arriving on site in early June to complete the connection.
Andrew Lipski of Gigaclear’s Community engagement team said: “As the UK’s leading rural, full-fibre Internet Service Provider, we’re proud of our record of bringing ultrafast broadband to ignored rural areas and villages across England. With Hook End and Blackmore now live and Wyatts Green due to go live shortly, we’re giving the Parish Council ‘Gigaclear Community Hub’ status. All who use Tipps Cross Remembrance Hall and Blackmore village hall will be getting free access to some of the fastest and most reliable broadband speeds in the country. We don’t just want to be ‘in’ your community – we’d like to be part of it too.”
In partnership with Gigaclear, the Parish Council and Trustees of the Tipps Cross venue will be extending the availability of its facilities to new groups, organisations and individuals to take advantage of its superior broadband both in the main hall and conference rooms.
Tipps Cross’s current users will also benefit from the free boost to internet connectivity in the transformation to full-fibre to the premises in June and the switch over to Community Hub status. Arrangements for the new network at Blackmore are still in the process of negotiation.
