Cllr. McCarthy is a member for the Hook End and Wyatts Green Ward. He served as Parish Chairman for four years and is on the Policy & Resources, Parks & Open Spaces and Planning committees. He is webmaster for the Parish’s various digital output and Trustee of Tipps Cross Remembrance Hall and the Petre Almshouses at Ingatestone. Essex-born, after marriage he and his wife returned to the area to raise their family and have lived locally ever since.
